The Farquhar College of Arts and Sciences gives each academic year a theme. The themes rotate between "Good and Evil," "Identity," "Truth and Power," and "Life and Death." This year's theme is "Identity." Don Rosenblum, Ph.D., the college's dean, said that the themes help students and faculty look at their academic work differently and ask themselves, "What connects me to my classmates?" The Farqhuar College hosts presentations, panel discussions, research projects, the Distinguished Speaker Series and the Faculty Lecture Series based on the theme.… 1 Comment

Thinking of lighting up in front of the Parker building? Think again. In July of 2009, the Office of Campus Recreation created an initiative called "Healthy Sharks." The program plans to make NSU a smokefree campus within the next five years. To make the transition easier, NSU has designated 12 smoking sites, which are located at least 50 feet from buildings.… Post the First Comment

NSU's Shepard Broad Law Center ranked third in the state according to the results of the bar passage rate among Florida law schools last year. The school also ranked first out of all the law schools in South Florida. The bar exam is a government-issued test that law students must pass before they can practice law in their state.… Post the First Comment
