On April 11, NSU hosted comedian and talk-show host Bill Maher at the Don Taft University Center Arena. The arena was packed from the floor to the upper level seats, as people waited patiently for Maher to walk onto the stage. Though the title of the album, "Sometimes I Wish We Were an Eagle," sounds like some kind of a joke, Bill Callahan's new album, due out April 14, has very little comedy in it. Unlike his last release, "Woke on a Whaleheart," which was lively and lighthearted, "Sometimes…" explores the darker side of Callahan's soul.… 3 Comments

Since I have no first-hand account of the happenings of the "awesome" '80s, for me, "Adventureland" is more of an informative feature of the winsome uncertainties of that era that consequently are not much different from today's qualms. The film does stay true to the usual "underdog story," where the quiet, unassuming boy finds himself through young love and quirky friends.… Post the First Comment
