The Office of Career Development hosted "Mix and Mingle Your Way to a Great Career: A Mocktail Hour" on Wednesday, April 8, in the Alvin Sherman Library. Bossa Nova Chorale held its third appearance at NSU on Sunday, April 5,performing songs that ranged from a 14-century chant to a hip-hop arrangement of the spiritual "Keep Your Lamps," which was accompanied by congas. From April 6 through April 8, the Refernce Deparment of the Alvin Sherman Library offered services to help the NSU community relax while preparing for final exams. There was a "Zen Zone," where students received free services such as yoga, guided meditation and massages.… Post the First Comment

Members of the NSU community gathered on March 7, in the Alvin Sherman Library, for a lecture featuring author Bonnie Glover, on behalf of the efforts of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Glover received her law degree from Stetson University and currently resides in Davie, Fla.… Post the First Comment

The International Muslim Association at NSU hosted its first annual benefit fashion show, "It's a Small World," on April 9 in the Don Taft University Center. People from all over NSU and the outside community gathered on the second floor of the UC to see the different fashions that people who practice Hinduism and Islam usually wear.… Post the First Comment
